After being featured on Jam Alley (2007). In 2011 Mokapoteni dropped his first mixtape titled “Rise of the darkness” that featured his hit singles such as “Mollo”, the hip hop version of “Hlokoloza”, “Pedi Warrior” that has enjoyed a substantial amount of rotation on Yfm and scored him an interview as well.
He was also featured on the SABC dorp to dorp tour and he has been on Friends Like This (2012), just to mention few. Mokapoteni is the first pedi rapper who recorded a 12 minutes non stop freestyle with a pure pedi flow in the record of the pedi rap trend, the freestyle was called 440 bars, and it enjoyed a number of downloads on kasimp3 and it gave him the street cred as the king of pedi rap.
After years of perfecting his Pedi Rap trend and learning the ups and downs of the entertainment industry, Mokapoteni was blessed with the opportunity to perform at various events whereby he share stages with the most respected names in Mzanzis entertainment scene, like Pro, Dj Sbu, Teargas, Dj Mo Flava, Oskido, Khuli Chana, K.O, T-Bo Touch, Dr Malinga, Mashabela Galane, Cassper Nyovest, Khuli Chana, Maggz and many more.
