@mr95tilinfinity – #TWENTY

129

I would like to share the reloaded edition of A to the T’s second mixtape #TWENTY.

Aryton Ssegawa is a 21 year old rapper, producer and sampler from Botswana, who goes by the stage name A to the T. He’s currently under his own unofficial imprint 95 til’ Infinity Records and has so far released two mixtapes #SmellsLikethe90s and #TWENTY. He’s currently working on his 3rd mixtape, “Can I Live?”

Passionate about 90s decade, from the fashion to the slang, A to the T makes hip-hop/rap music that is very reminiscent of the 90s hip-hop/rap music due to his love for sampling old hits. His music will re-ignite the longing of yesteryears. “The grown-ups will be reminded of the old days while the catchy lyrics will grab attention of the young ones”, a quote from one of the local newspapers, Mmegi. He cites late rapper 2pac as his biggest influence, especially musically. As a recording artist, he believes his purpose is to make music that is soul-bearing, truthful and introspective to explain his life story.

#TWENTY is the second mixtape by Motswana recording artist A to the T, released on November 18, 2015.
The title was inspired by singer Adele’s fashion of naming her albums with accordance to her age. A to the T wanted his album artwork to be similar to rapper Drake’s “Thank Me Later” album artwork. A to the T wanted his sound to remain the same but to be more commercially appealing than his debut.

November 18th 2015 was chosen as the release date after A to the T found out the meaning behind rapper, Drake’s “November 18th” song. A to the T’s favorite song from the mixtape is “Hopeless” which was recorded the same day he got the instrumental.
