Neezy Israel – Kontinua

140

Neezy-Israel, originally born Neo Israel Phetlho, is a South African Rap/Hip hop artist who was born 16th February 1992 whilst living in Dobsonville, Soweto. Neezy-Israel started rapping at the young age of 10years old after a neighbourhood friend heard him rap and handed Neezy a Skwatta Kamp cassette as well as the lyric book to all the songs in their Khut en Joyn album, Neezy hasn’t looked back ever since.

In 2012, Neezy teamed up with talented young super producer Musa “Emamk” Nhlapo to produce Neezys’ debut mixtape ‘The Eviction Letter Mixtape” It was through this mix tape that Neezy would meet another young talented producer and engineer Simphiwe “Zeph Beats” Mhlongo who has worked with artists such as KidX, RickyRick, StogieT, AReece to name a few. Neezy since worked on 5 single releases with Zeph Beats as an engineer on all and Emamk having produced a bulk of it.
Neezy now drops a very intimate calm song, with a smooth beat and flow, Neezy tells us about his come up and how the struggle continues till he makes it in the music industry. The track talks about how the rapper is way different from other, that he brings a different flavour and how he’s willing to stand his ground to have his music heard.

Neezy decided to take us back and remind us of the kwaito influence that hip hop comes from in South Africa as the listener can pick up a bouncy hip hop feel to the beat. It’s a song that will definitely grow on listeners and something that anyone can relate to. Link to the song: https://audiomack.com/song/neezy-israel-1/kontinua-prod-emamkay
