NoQlue The Prophet – Key To The City Mixtape

Queenstown-born rapper, self-proclaimed “Lyrical Massacre”, “audio-crack dealer” and song-writer Yanga Tsama publicly known as NoQlue The Prophet in the music circles, has released a new and much-anticipated full-length project, titled KEY TO THE CITY MIXTAPE.

KEY TO THE CITY MIXTAPE is a very personal project, purely based on personal experiences and experiences of those in NoQlue’s circle. From the intro to the very last record, one can depict how inter-connected every song on this project is to the other. NoQlue The Prophet is a relatively young artist still trying to prove himself and actually break into the CPT Hip Hop scene. Through his lyrical content, we can hear that NoQlue shares frustrations at how his well constructed lyrical content gets slept on and rejected because he lacks the popstar image and ability to do mumble raps that appeal to small minds. NoQlue displays a true dedication to melodies, pound for pound bars with an emphasis on the narrative, and a collective of quotables. The whole mixtape is produced by and features a young musical genius by the name, SAMac JayLa, from East London, based in the Mother City. (See attachment for tracklist and front cover)

NoQlue The Prophet dedicates a lot of time and effort into the construction of his content. A long thought process goes into concepts, beat-selection (with the help of producer SAMac JayLa) and song-writing, which compliments the “Lyrical Massacre” status he has crowned himself.

NoQlue has named Ginger Trill, Blaklez, Reason ( hence the ‘massacre’), AKA, Zubz, Tuks Senganga and Cassper Nyovest amongst others as his musical influences.

The KEY TO THE CITY MIXTAPE has been sent to various radio stations throughout the country for playlisting. A lot can be expected from NoQlue The Prophet going forward in the music scene.
